Saipan is the largest island of the Northern Mariana Islands, a commonwealth of the United States in the western Pacific Ocean. Saipan is known for it’s sandy shores and mountainous landscapes, in addition to several championship golf courses.

The highest point in Saipan is Mt. Tapochau, standing at 1,555-ft. Near the northern tip, Japanese memorials mark Banzai Cliff and Suicide Cliff, sites from the 1944 Battle of Saipan.
